Michael Jordan
was a thoughtful man who was brought into this world by James and Dolores
Jordan on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. His parents were born in Wallace, North Carolina, and his sister was also born in North Carolina. When Michael was little he loved
baseball and was a pitcher who pitched a no hitter. This soon to be star didn’t
start until his joiner year of High School. Young Jordan didn’t realize how
talented he was when miscellaneous scholarships came. The Laney High star
decided to go to North Carolina University and play for the Tar Heels as a6’1
216 pound point guard in 1981. When he was there, he won the NCAA tournament
over Georgetown. Later on he had three kids name Jeffrey,
Marcus, and Jasmine. Next when he was in college he was
selected to the All American team. Entertainment in Sports Programming Network
also known as the ESPN loved Michael so much, that he was awarded the John R.
Wooden which is a award given to the most outstanding college player during
that season. Michael’s friend James Worthy, who was on the team hurt Michael
and the team by leaving to go to the NBA. Since the departure of Worthy Michael
had to work extra hard. From all that hard work it really paid off He got a
nickname “air” from being able to jump so high and soar in the air. Michael
wasn’t only famous for being an NBA star he was for other things to. He was so
talented in college that North Carolina put him on the phone Book cover. Michael,
also the leader of the college Olympics team, left the Spanish coach crying. In
1984 Michael Jordan joined the Chicago bulls. That season he was awarded the
Rookie Player pf the Year award. Since the come of Michael Jordan the Bulls
have been on fire. The terrible thing that happens was in 1985-86 Michael broke
his foot in the third game of the playoffs. Before he broke is foot, he had
49points against Boston Celtics. Michael returned to be in the1987 slam dunk
contest. Michael his signature dunk called air Jordan or The Jordan and his opponents stood in
amazement. His signature dunk was only done twice in his career. In the season
of 1988 he was the first since Wilt Chamberlain to score 3,000 points in a
season. In the 1991 the Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers fought and it was
Michael vs. .Magic. After that he retired to play for the Chicago White Socks
but wasn’t good and went back to the bulls in 1994-95. When he returned he won
3 NBA championships in 1996-98. Next Michael led the NBA in points three years
in a row. After leading in points he won two M.V.P awards in three NBA finals
with 2 defenses player awards. He then retired in 2000 to become part owner of
the Washington Wizards in 2000. Then he signed with the Wizards on September
25 2001. Michael
played 2 seasons then finally retired. He became part owner of the Charlotte
Bobcats and was in the movie Space Jam. Lately he was awarded a statue and 5
collectable cars that I have. Next
Michael had an impacted attitude. He went to see sick children in the hospital,
and Michael did get pat riley to say he was the most outstanding player in
basketball. Magic Johnson quoted he changed the game of basketball and was a
big challenge. Michael got 2 of his coaches fired because of a losing streak.
In College he won the NCAA championship as freshmen which are hard for a
starting point guard. In addion to him winning three championships with the
Bulls. Bulls star was also leading a Dream team. That could be a reason he was
voted Sports Hero by 8th to 12th graders. That was also because
he was a team player who controlled the game when he had the ball. Finally he
set goals to accomplish and the number one goal was leaving the NBA with 6
championships ring but not as good as Bill Russell who had 11 championship
rings.
