Dance Competition

Today is competition,

And I can hardly wait.

Sparkly costumes and make-up,

I hope that we’re not late.

We finally arrive at Trenton,

Where it will take place.

I have to take my time

And keep a steady pace.

If I do that

I will not get tired.

And to be ready for competition

You have to be wired.

The nerve wrecking stage,

Judges looking up at you.

Just think of a high score,

That’s all you have to do.

If my team gets 1^st place

We’ll jump up for joy.

I can’t wait till next time,

I’ll see you in Illinois.
