The Bad School Day

I said I was a monkey

And I was covered in hair

The class was confused,

The teacher started to stare.

I got sent to the office,

I got a detention

The principle told me,

My next step is suspension.

I had to write an essay

And then a long poem

If I didn’t finish quickly,

I couldn’t go home.

Finally, I finished

About a shoe and a clover

And that’s when I felt

Like my day started over.
