DEREK JETER

Derek Jeter was born on June 26, 1974, in Pequannock, NJ. Four years later Jeter moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan. Later in his life he was a senior and got player of the year. When Jeter was also in senior year he led his team with a .508 average. Also in high school he was on 3 years of varsity baseball. In 1993, Jeter made 56 errors in minor league, then a year later he improved so much that he got named minor league player of the year. Then a year later in 616 chances he only made 25 errors. Jeter still at the age of 30 is still no married, and has no kids. Now Jeter weighs 195 pounds, and his height is 6’3.

In 1995 may, 29 Jeter plays his first major league baseball game. Jeters’ jersey number is 2. A year later he helped win the World Series. Jeter is the starting shortstop now. In 1998 Jeter finishes his third MVP voting. Jeter is in a lot of commercials like ford. Jeter now won his fifth world series. Then in 1999 he had 102 RBI’s. A year later Jeter got named MVP in his all star game. When it was 2003 Jeter was the captain of the New York Yankees. Three years later Jeter got his first golden glove award. He also got the golden glove award in 2006-2009.

My impact is that he runs the turn two foundation. The turn two foundation is when Jeter helps inner city children. Also Jeter makes people spend a lot of money on him. They spend a lot of money on him by coming to Yankee stadium to watch him.

I admire him because I play baseball and I want to be pro like him. My favorite team is the Yankees.

The lesson that I learned was if you keep trying you might get what you want. For an example if you do baseball everyday than you might have a chance of pro. Another lesson that I learned was he gives away money to the turn two foundation.
