Lou Gehrig


Lou Gehrig, the iron horse, was born June 19 1903 and was the 10 kid born in his family When Lou was a child he lived in New York and loved to play baseball with kids on his block .Lou was a big Yankees fan and always loved to go to Yankees games with his dad. Lou started playing when he was 4.Lou played all though school and made his High school team. When Lou got into college he was important to the team and played shortstop!

Lou was famous because well a lot of things but hes most famous for his nickname the iron horse. That is his name because he played in 2130 consecutive games. Another reason is he played for the Yankees most of his career. Lou also won more than 104 awards. He won most valuable player, memorial player, and gold glove award.
